Barred Plymouth Rock Bantams are attractive docile birds, their striking markings stand out well in a garden. Developed in North America, they are very hardy and used to colder climates. Barred Rocks will happily jump onto a perch but are not really flyers, easy to keep and good layers, initially producing over 200 light brown eggs per year. If eggs are left uncollected they can go broody, but are not obsessive broodies.
