New Hampshire Red Bantams are one of our firm favourites. Friendly docile non flyers, New Hampshire Reds were developed in America from the Rhode Island strain in large fowl and subsequently Bantam. If you want a traditional rich brown coloured hen which is easy to handle, with a good temperament, then look no further. New Hampshire Red Bantams are equally happy free ranging or in spacious confinement, they are a very hardy robust Bantam. A good layer, initially producing around 200 light brown eggs per year, New Hampshire Reds are a great choice for the garden and as pets for younger children.
In our Opinion.Traditional looking chicken, good layers for pure breed. Seldom go broody.
